1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the BAUDHYANTRAM SANSKRITI GURUKUL website and services (collectively, the "Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform — including visitors and registered users. References to "BSG", "we", "us", or "our" mean BAUDHYANTRAM SANSKRITI GURUKUL.

2. Platform Description

BSG is a digital platform providing curated access to Indian classical texts, educational content, community forums, and related learning resources. The Platform is operated from India and serves users globally. BSG makes no representation that the Platform or its content is appropriate for use in every jurisdiction.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on BSG.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
• You are responsible for all activities conducted under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
• BSG reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free Access & Optional Support

BSG provides its published courses, learning resources, community features, and events with free access for everyone. Access is not sold through memberships, subscriptions, course fees, or event registration charges.

• Registration and enrollment are for participation and learning; they do not create a purchase contract.
• Users may optionally support the Gurukul through a voluntary donation. Donations are separate from access and never required to use the Platform.
• Where a donation is submitted, any receipt or processing communication applies only to that voluntary contribution.

5. Intellectual Property

BSG content: All original content created by BSG — including platform design, editorial notes, learning path structures, and original commentary — is protected by copyright and owned by BAUDHYANTRAM SANSKRITI GURUKUL.

Third-party content: Classical texts in the public domain are reproduced for educational purposes. Translations and scholarly commentary are used with the permission of the relevant scholars or publishers and are attributed accordingly.

Your content: By posting in community forums or submitting content to BSG, you grant BSG a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to reproduce and display that content on the Platform. You retain ownership of your contributions.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit BSG content without express written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You will treat all members of the BSG community with respect, in the spirit of Satya (truthfulness) and Ahimsa (non-harming speech). You will engage with the knowledge on the Platform with sincerity and intellectual good faith.

7. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell BSG content without authorisation.
• Use the Platform to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content.
• Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation with any institution.
• Post content that is defamatory, hateful, obscene, or in violation of any law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download the Platform's content.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or security systems.
• Use automated bots or scrapers to access the Platform without BSG's written consent.

8. Third-Party Content & Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or references to external resources. These are provided for convenience only. BSG does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party site. Your interactions with third-party sites are governed by their own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. BSG does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BSG's liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to your use of the Platform shall not exceed INR 1,000.

BSG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold BSG and its officers, directors, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

BSG may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if continued access is contrary to applicable law. You may close your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes informally within 30 days of the dispute arising.

13. Changes to These Terms

BSG may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
